Public speaking and communication are often ranked as some of the most important skills in the 21st century. Students with strong public speaking skills are confident in class. They are not afraid to present, debate, and express opinions. Thus, they tend to have better academic performance and leadership skills, both of which are necessary for future success in university and workplace settings.
Public Speaking Level 1: Speak with Confidence is a signature course that One Publique recommends to every new student. Students will learn the foundations of public speaking, from building a structure of a talk to engaging the audience with strong body language. At the end of the course, they are expected to perform an original speech to a live audience: their families.
From this course, students will learn to take on public speaking opportunities as a challenge for growth. They will learn to speak with confident poise, articulate their thoughts in an organized manner, and inspire the audience with their personal insights.
All sessions are run with hands-on and action-oriented activities in an encouraging and supportive atmosphere.
