COURSE OVERVIEW
Public Speaking Level 3 builds upon the foundational presentation and research skills developed in Level 2 and elevates students into the art of persuasive communication. In this 9-session program, students learn the difference between traditional public
speaking and strategic pitching. While public speaking focuses on clarity and confidence, pitching requires students to influence specific audiences with intention and purpose. Students will learn how to identify meaningful problems, analyze audience demographics, and tailor their language, tone, and evidence to match audience interests. They will explore how different groups — such as investors, school leaders, peers, or community members — respond to different types of arguments and data.
Throughout the course, students will:
• Develop a clear and compelling pitch idea
• Conduct audience analysis (demographics and psychographics)
• Select persuasive evidence strategically
• Structure a professional pitch presentation
• Design an effective pitch deck
• Strengthen stage presence and movement
• Handle challenging Q&A sessions with confidence
By the end of the program, students will be able to deliver a structured 5–7 minutes persuasive pitch with strong stage presence, clear logic, and audience awareness — demonstrating leadership-level communication skills. All classes are highly interactive and practice-based, with structured feedback and guided refinement at every stage.
TOPICS | Week | Description |
| 1 | Foundations of Strategic Persuasion Students explore the difference between public speaking and pitching. They begin developing their own pitch idea by identifying meaningful problems and understanding how persuasion goes beyond simply sharing information. |
| 2 | Persuasive Devices and Appeals Students learn how language influences decisions. Through practical exercises, they explore persuasive techniques such as ethos, logos, pathos, contrast, and rhetorical framing to make their message stronger and more impactful. |
| 3 | Structural Design of the Persuasive Pitch Students build a clear and organized pitch structure, learning how to move logically from problem to solution and finish with a strong call to action. They begin drafting their full pitch outline. |
| 4 | Understanding Your Audience Students examine who they are speaking to and why it matters. They learn how to adjust tone, vocabulary, examples, and supporting facts to connect effectively with different audiences. |
| 5 | Stage Presence and Spatial Awareness Students develop confidence in how they use the stage. They practice posture, purposeful movement, eye contact, and stillness to strengthen their authority and presence while presenting. |
| 6 | Crafting a High-Impact Pitch Deck Students design a professional and persuasive slide deck. They learn how to present clear visuals, organize key information, and ensure their slides support — not distract from — their message. |
| 7 | Polishing Your Delivery for Maximum Impact Students refine pacing, vocal emphasis, transitions, and persuasive tone. Structured rehearsal and feedback help them elevate confidence and clarity. |
| 8 | Handling Tough Questions with Confidence Students practice responding to challenging questions with composure and structure. They learn how to defend their ideas while maintaining credibility and authority. |
